Paul, yes they both seem pretty keen. Sue, yes lets hope it is, i don't know what goes on outside the nest but sometimes the visits between the BT's and GT's are only minutes apart. I'll post some vid's over the weekend.

I'll post some vid's over the weekend. Ha, I found that too Pete, so I have just rigged up a camera outside my garage box, I struggled a little with the focus to begin with it as it was too close but sorted it out today. The blue tit didn’t bother with the camera and went straight in this evening.

Well its started, the first nest material in today by the BT's at about 9.23am although i did have two or three visits by the female GT so bets could still be on. The first vid is the first material, the second vid is the last material for today, i also have a rooster back which i think might be the female BT.

Springtime66 yes lets hope everyone gets a nest this year. Thanks Amanda. Paul, the GT has also been visiting the side view box so if i'm really, really lucky she might take to that one, the weather has been a lot milder down here today which probably gave her a kick start.

My female BT has had a hard day today she's been bringing in nest material and in between her work the GT female has been coming in and disrupting the nest and also taking material out, still good to see her roosting tonight

Sammi, yes the GT has been in again this morning doing nest wriggles, but all the times she's been in she has never brought in any nest material.

Paul, i think 'bob' is avoiding any confrontation, when the GTs are about i think she's out of that nest like a shot. Sue, iv'e had this happen before where the GTs have bullied the BTs away after they have started there nest and ended up with no nest that year from GT's or BT's. Like i said before the GT has not brought in any nest material, i think she is nesting nereby and sabotaging this nest with no intention of nesting there. although i could be totally wrong.

My son had the same with some great tits last year. They frightened off blue tits that were in the midst of building. They started to build themselves and then totally abandoned leaving a perfect nest box with a nest that no-one used . Hope it sorts out. Sue
