Good to hear she's roosting...maybe it was just a bit warm those past few nights, and perhaps she felt it wasn't necessary? Congrats on egg no.3!

Thanks GBH, in my naivety I was worried the egg might be compromised if left too long in the cold so too speak, but Paul put my mind at rest as he had a female do it back in 2015 and all was ok, so mini panic over till the next

Up to 4 eggs now, each day between 1 and 2pm they come back to the tree, she will check on things in the box after making sure all is well, they then do the deed in the tree, have seen this for the past 5 days without fail, he then brings her a little treat, then they fly off together, they seem to have an incredible close bond so long may it continue. My mini live meal worms arrived today, we have lots of fledglings appearing and parents feeding young so they will enjoy them, I hope also the BTs will get accustomed to were they are and use the feeder in time for the hatch lings, I have got the scott feeder out and in situ so fingers crossed they use it, Chico never got the hang of it bless her.
