A quick update on Molly and Ron, very busy again today lots of moss coming in still and cup shaping, Ron brings her the odd morsel and keeps look out while she works away. Quite worryingly the Sparrow hawk is appearing a lot

Glad things are still going well for you Karen! Hopefully you don't have to buy a gun to keep the sparrowhawk at bay blast the neighbours box off the fence has your warning shots!

Haha he should be full now as I saw him swoop down and take a Starling while feeding, flew of with it ! I got two boxes as competition now as the house down two put up a box also after seeing the activity in next doors box, but for some reason I will never know they suddenly had a change of heart and chose ours

Mine were unused last year and all the hopes and expectations of waiting for the time to come around then they go elsewhere is saddening, I thought my chance had gone this year too and had accepted it, then they came back! Just never know with these little birds what they have up their sleeve.

Day 12 of nest building and still a bit of soft material coming in, mostly on a morning and then last hour before roosting time she will add more. Since the first day of nest building she hasnt roosted in the box she leaves at around 7.40pm to go to roost somewhere, but today I saw Molly and Ron cement their relationship in the tree so I wonder if tonight she may roost, eggs cant be too far away
