GBH Have you someone at home watching and filming them fledging for you, I have someone watching them - yes- they haven't reported back in two hours though - so I might send them a 'well, whats the update?' text. They won't be filming it though. Karen - I'm also off tomorrow - fingers crossed they decided to hold off until tomorrow for us both. I'll be camping out in the shed. Pity my trail camera didn't arrive - that would have been a real help - my dome camera doesn't reach that far as its wired. Trail camera not coming until next Tues.

Karen, that video of the chick getting its beak around the butterfly made me laugh out loud. Felt sorry for the butterfly but that little chicks face was an absolute picture . Good luck with the fledging, they look really good. Sue

All still here when I got in just now. It's pouring down too so I'm glad they still tucked in the warm. Will be sat watching with the camera tomorrow in hope I see them go.

Good Luck Karen...I'm also sitting out since 6am...no budge on them so far although I thought I had a few close moments.
Just daring a few minutes away from the TV to get fed and watered myself....they better not go while I'm back in the house or I'll hunt them out, stuff them back into the box, and then film them leaving again...ha,ha,ha!!!

Haha! I been sat also since 6am, mum and dad feeding them like crazy, the biggest ones getting the most, its quite cool here with the threat of rain, I have a feeling the big ones will go today, they are flapping their wings a lot and getting restless I feel, but no sign of the parents teasing them out yet

Oh my gosh, I am so stressed, 3 babies have left the nest, first one basically flew straight forward and landed on the grass, sat there looking a bit dazed, a crow as hanging around so I went out side to scare it away and watched over the little one, it reached a place of relative safety,2 more came out in the meantime and are in the foliage in the garden! 4 still in the nest at the moment. 3 left now, they are scattered around in various places in the garden, currently I am keeping the cat and dog inside. They dont seem to have the uplift when flying. Parents are feeding the ones left in nest, not sure what will happen to them I really wish they could get up high in a tree.
