Thats great...I think we are co-ordinated on the same day from hatching, and yes, my little 3 are preening away now too...nice to see they are hitting the same 'milestones'.

Its funny you say that as I have seen lots of videos on fb recently of other nests etc and I thought to myself there are some poor looking nests, our Molly has done a grand job compared to some. She must be experienced!

Awe thanks Matt, I will pass all your comments onto Molly. They havnt escaped from the cup yet so must be nice and deep, she is meticulous in nest maintenance, gets her head right in and under and does it very often, I presume to clean up poo and mites etc!

Great to see the progress....I actually am not sure whether my Mother bird has stopped sitting on them as I'm so wrecked at night, I'm probably in bed before she is!! So I'm never out in the shed at that time to investigate.
She is definitely not sitting during the day though....way too hot.

Thats right Paul, although I have some that a smaller than others so may not all go together, hopefully they will get enough food the bigger ones are really getting the lions share at the moment. Looking forward to tonight, I have been telling all my friends about it Interesting what they said about first year mum BTs have that difference in the wing, did you see it? Quick edit just to mention that Molly and Ron are getting really familiar with me filling up their food cage now, they are literally an arms length from me while I am putting their waxworms in

I hope the little ones catch up Karen, I am sure they will mine did in the end. Are yours still only using waxworms or they took to the mealworms now? I did see about that, Very interesting stuff! I'm also excited for tonight with not seeing the final edit what they want to use i'll be watching it like everyone else and seeing what they have done with my clips. What is going on with your hogs at moment Karen? I am getting barely any visits at the moment. I seen during breeding activity is low in garden things was really busy for me back in march when they came back but during may its really slowed down is it the same for you?

They have started with mealworms now also, but the waxworms go first! I too have noticed just in the last few nights that the visits are tailing off, just mayby the odd one, infact lastnight I didnt get any triggers till the birds woke up, there was a male and female on Tuesday night he was trying to have his wicked way with her I keep hoping I will catch hogletts on the camera one night.

It’s definitely not a ‘Dublin’ word, I asked lots of people I know, what a hog was and they all said ‘A type of pig’ i even have ‘Hogs in my garden all the time. But happy to give you al laugh Taz, we need plenty of those now
