Great pics of them all tucked up in bed. As I sit typing my rooster hasn't turned in yet. I wonder if there is a stand off between the two fighters?

Our males been coming in and feeding the female while she removes the poo I think I currently have 3 female roosters, I am just hoping its 1 male between the 3 of them so its a repeat of 2016 with the 3 blue tit nests, I guess we will see closer to the time! House hunting is well underway in our garden though.

Fingers crossed Sammi, Last time that happened was 4 years ago, Hopefully our male is abit of a player again this year! 3 rooster boxes being kept extremely clean though, 1 pretty messy. so we will see what becomes of it over the coming weeks, none blue tit related our female sparrow well she is more messy than the male blue tits i'll have to give that clean out end of the month, Last year the poor male took 2 days cleaning the box.

Last year the poor male took 2 days cleaning the box. About time a male bird did a bit of cleaning Paul! Very pleased to know the latest news about your birds, so hope you get the 3 other boxes used successfully too.

Our female sparrows been bringing in straw this afternoon, Males been cleaning her droppings out the box aswell. Not a huge amount of material just few beaks full straw but its a start, I'll start getting videos and pictures of these soon, They should be well into nest building by time the blue tits start.

They seem to be starting early this year, probably due to the mild weather, but we have a bit of snow forecast next week. I hope it’s not much!

I'm pretty convinced I have 3 female blue tit roosters at this point, purple tree box, side view box and swift box. Side view box and purple box are pretty active daily with the females cleaning the box plus visits, Had the odd nest wriggle aswell. Swift box female although keeping it clean isn't really visiting much during the day, I guess this is good because the camera is black and white in this box with it being a swift box and they like the dark. Saying that if she does choose to nest in the box i'll leave her to it black and white or not. Sue, Yes blue ring blue tit is very much still around, See him on the feeders everyday, Hes not really checking my boxes out now though, But saying that if he's male my females are checking the boxes out themselves with roosting in them so they don't need him coming in visiting. A male did come into my side view box and fed the female the other week though, He didn't have a ring on so could be a different male in control of my area, We will see I guess. Very active with the blue tits at the moment though. Sparrows are a given to nest again bringing material in already and things, So just waiting to see what happens with the blue tits now, All looking great so far hopefully I don't jinx it! Here's a little picture of the purple tree box at the moment, Females just finished cleaning out her overnight poo, currently chilling and she done a nest wriggle before.

Gosh isn't it getting exciting now? 👍🐦 I was reading an interesting article about ringed bluetits and how far they travel from their birth place. It see6they concluded that it's the male chicks who tend to stay in the immediate area and the female go further afield. How blue ring does feature in this year's nests for you.
