Well done Paul, another successful brood released to the wild, I can imagine in years to come if you keep helping rear all these BTs, tourists will be travelling to Liverpool, not just for the football, Beatles etc but for the millions of Bluetits with the colourful bracelets

Little update on "Ditzy" who's become probably my favourite blue tit over the years, Such a super mum! She's had no help at all off her male since day one, She's done everything herself. 6 eggs out of 9 hatched, For the first 4 days she didn't get on to the "scott" feeder hanging on the light by her box. Then on day 5 I started seeing mealworms coming in so I relaxed abit knowing she had found the help, Now she relys on the mealworms. Although shes had no help off male and is a lone bird all 6 chicks are doing amazing, She is such a little hard worker! Small video below and some pictures of her using the Scott feeder.

Oh Paul, I'm not surprised Ditzy is your favourite, she's beautiful as well as being a hard working mum to her chicks. Thank goodness you went to her rescue again helping her - she certainly deserves it seeing as she's unlucky with all her mates. The video & all those lovely photos "showing her in action" when she goes for food from the Scott feeder.

Oh Paul, didn’t realise Ditzy was rearing alone, don’t know how i’ve missed this. Bless her she is doing an amazing job. As Karen said, shame Mr Wren didn’t help with this little brood. Can see why she’s your favourite Paul. Sue

Great results from your garden Paul as usual. It would be great to see one of the ringed blue tits come back to nest next year. Fingers crossed. My Gt Tits due to fledge this week.

That’s a huge undertaking, I’m sure Springwatch were interested in her nest too. I suppose without their meal/wax worms, the outcome wouldn’t have been so great.....

Ditzy's chicks have been ringed, Bite the bullet and used the silver rings, I have always skipped these because they are dull. But If I don't use them now I never will keep the yellow and copper colour for next years lot. These was a cheeky bunch, Not at all scared! Well one wasn't impressed i'll post little picture of that one below haha. All a good weight none bigger or smaller which is good considering she is feeding them alone! Shows you just how important mealworms are. Anyway here is some pictures If looks could kill

Awww, they are so cute. Glad to see they're all doing well though. It probably makes it a lot easier when they get a good food source close by with just the female involved.
