Little Ditz is on 7 aswell Karen, Still not sitting yet. Dolly's are due to hatch Sunday (hope they do has its my birthday she's timed that perfect for me ) Sparrows now have chicks, Got this massive feather stuck against the lens at the moment, I am hoping they knock it down so I can get some videos. I don't want to go up yet chicks only young mum is still with them alot, If it doesn't sort itself naturally i'll go up on ladder when mum isn't as active in the box. I can't keep up with them all at the moment, Different telly's different rooms, I'm not complaining though I love active years like this! Can't say my bank balance does with all the live food though

Looks like our second blue tit "Ditzy" settled with 8 eggs, I'm starting to believe its two different males at the moment though. A males been calling her out all morning, However when its normally 2 females 1 male the second female is totally over looked. Dolly male as been feeding her none stop for 11 days now while she's incubating, In past years when I have had more than 1 blue tit the male doesn't bother with female number two.
So leads me to believe maybe this year 1 male runs the front of the house and them gardens and 1 runs the back gardens! Anyway here's a little video of Ditz and her 8 eggs.

Might be worth considering a DVR Paul with 8 or 16 inputs which then offers you a split screen. Obviously sound is an issue in that you can only have it from one box but it also streams to a smart phone so you can check on your little darlings whilst at work or out and about. I find I can set up motion detection to tell me when boxes are first visited a it sounds and alarm. This can be turned off for any channel/box when they start to build. The record and playback feature is also a boon. Mind if you are considering switching completely to IP cameras then an NVR would be needed. Sorry posted a video instead of the picture i.postimg.cc/VsWND16c/IMG-1200.jpg

Me trying to use a DVR Benn would be like my nan trying to work an iphone no hope That is honestly why I have never done it, I'm not switching fully to POE, Just the one camera going to put it in the tree box which is used yearly! I might watch some DVR videos and see what the drill is, If it looks confusing i'll just stick to my tellys and recording off my iphone apart from my POE camera. Think Ditzy give me false information, She's stopped sitting now and covered them, So I guess it will be egg 9 tomorrow for her. Kinda hope she does 10 eggs now come on Ditz out do Dolly!

I was coming on to post my Molly appears to be incubating, as she has been sat a good while and Ron has been in to feed her twice, but just like you Paul I think it could be a false alarm as she left a good 40 minutes ago and hasnt come back yet, I saw them mate in the tree again today as I have nearly every day so I assumed then she is going for another egg, but seeing her sitting on the eggs like she was threw me. They do keep us on our toes

Looks like our Mol and Ditz are acting the same Karen!
Great news on the "Scott feeder" put it out before and Dolly and Rocky have found it straight away, Chicks due to hatch tomorrow / Monday so perfect timing!
Here's a little video of them using it from just before, Dolly watched me put it out and she was straight down didn't even have time to walk away a few steps!

Nice one Paul. Are you under the flight path to John Lennon airport? Amazing how they took to the feeder! . Basic set up of the DVR is pretty simple. Plugging in the leads etc is pretty straight forward and getting it to show on your TV screen. Obviously the cables from the nest boxes all have to reach the DVR then you run a hdmi TV cable from the DVR to the TV. The DVR does take some configuration to get it to talk to your Wifi router if you want to use software on a computer that is free to download, or go live. But all I really use this software for is to create video clips quickly on my computer.
Anyhow I would offer to to come over to set it up for you once this awful virus has gone as my daughter lives in a flat on Ullet Rd on Princess Park and I have yet to see this flat.
PS Our Mrs Blue tit has 8 eggs so far and has started incubating this afternoon! She is off and on a bit between naps so like your Ditzy.

I've been watching few videos Benn, Seems pretty straight forward even for me! Might give it a go over autumn, My only worry would be all the wiring my boxes are here there and everywhere so it would be getting the wires all to one place that could be abit messy etc. But it does look pretty straight forward! I'm near the airport benn, Not under the flight path though about 10 minute or so drive from there. That plane was one of them little things that hold about 2 people make a hell of a noise when they fly over sounded like it was about to drop from the sky! Didn't know you had family in Liverpool though!

Paul, you have the most amazing set up in your garden, and even better have plenty of birds to use all your boxes, i will be very interested in watching the wren, after the mishap with my wren chicks last year. i hadn't seen my wren for about 3 months and yesterday i saw him twice, I'm on the look out to see if he starts building a nest in one of my boxes, think its a slim chance but time will tell.

Yep, my daughter went to the University of Liverpool in 2012 and then got a job there after graduating. She shared a house with some uni mates who also stayed on there near Liverpool Olympia. She then moved in with her Scouse boyfriend as they got a flat together. She loves Liverpool.
