I've not got a sideways box so not really following the discussion but I do love the colour and clarity Matt. May I also compliment you on how tidy your wires are. They just neatly disappear. My wiring is what I call abstract bordering on the wild🙂 It's just an illusion Sammi - I think it is just a bit dark to see them in the pic above. Here you go:

Any visits this morning Matt? I know its lovely sunny day for pretty much all the UK today temps aren't to bad as well. Actually, yes! Here's a short vid of 3 x videos put together. Just a cheeky look into the office box (box from last vid) and also the sideview box on the patio (no paint inside!). A longer jump inside the non-sideview box on the side of the shed, too: Edit: Yes, isn't it nice to see a bit of sun! The weather has been driving me a bit crazy recently, I must admit..

Thanks Paul. All of the boxes have had at least one proper visit (inside), so now just need to wait and see.. at least they know where they are if they need them! Weather going to crap again over the weekend, but looks like we might get a sustained dry period from the middle of next week which would be very welcome.

The last one in that segment was, Pete, and the others are recorded a bit higher actually but then downscaled to make the Youtube video.

A few more visits over the last couple of days, including visits to three of the boxes so far this morning. Nothing too long, but some nest wriggles in one. I think this is the male doing the wriggle, and then he swaps for the female but hard to be sure. Unfortunately the camera glitched out a bit with a couple of dropped frames, so hard to tell:

Nice video Matt, Looks like your male is more interested in getting going than the female with them wriggles! My males done the odd few himself the last 2 days, fingers crossed for nest this year!

Thanks Paul, everything crossed here as well Things have picked up a bit over the last week, so looking forward to a week now of half decent weather (I think?) and seeing what happens.

Like the video Matt. Was just saying to my wife we need a few weeks without rain for things to dry out and get moving!

Like the video Matt. Was just saying to my wife we need a few weeks without rain for things to dry out and get moving! Tell me about it Benn! There is so much stuff I need to do in the garden as well, that I just haven't got round to because good weather has not coincided with me having the time to do it! Spring is almost here.. or perhaps it actually is here? Hard to tell sometimes

Lovely video Matt. Although I have a ‘teeny weeny’ bit of nest material in my box I still haven’t witnessed a nesting wriggle , mind you I don’t have it recording all the time so could well have missed any. Looking good for you though Matt, everything crossed Sue

Video quality is amazing Matt....really gorgeous, every detail in the feathers and the wood grain so clear and in focus. Brilliant!!!
Can't seem to get my cameras to focus like that...afraid to touch them now of course.

Bit quiet to be honest Paul, apart from fleeting visit to outside of a couple of boxes. I was hoping for a bit more with the change to settled weather.

Yeah, not too worried yet as for some reason things seem a bit later down here than up in Liverpool, weird though that sounds (should be the other way around, surely?). The year I did get a nest they were visiting a lot up until mid March, then they disappeared for a couple of weeks before coming back and getting straight into it during the first week of April.. Still seeing plenty of bluetits in the garden, also great tits recently which is not that common for our garden, although none has looked at a box yet. I did get some great tits poking their heads in a couple of years ago.
