Couldn't remember if it was you tbh Pete, Something similar happened in 2015 for me was my first proper year with a camera in the box and she started building end of march. done half of nest and another bird kept scaring her, She disappeared for weeks not a single visit and late April showed up again built the nest in 1 day and laid an egg. I know in was same female in my case though because she had a weird marking by her eye. Only had 2 boxes back then until the bug took over how many boxes do you have by the way Pete? Do you have the 2 or more?

Great news Matt. I think it looks like a female's behaviour. So hope it leads to a nest for you.

Fingers crossed for you Matt. I love the natural colour. Its tempting me to adjust some of my colour settings on my DVR back to where they were originally!

DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING!!!! Honestly, I am really imploring on you not to move a single thing in or on that box - everything is perfect right now - they are happy, they are looking and the quality is really, REALLY impressive (have you seen the state of my videos!!! ) You would absolutely kick yourself so bloody hard if they headed off and you'd never know if it was because of their own choice, or a change in the box. Take it from someone who interfered with their bird box several years ago, and NEVER got a nest since.

Point taken GBH! I am an obsessive tinkerer though! Distracting myself now with the concrete nest box project instead

I'm the exact same, so totally relate - perfection is never perfect enough sometimes! There is always that one little 'tweak' it needs...lol!!
Anyway, I'm really rooting for you Matt - I think its really great that they are still looking...I hope they choose your box.

No sign yet Pete. They are normally earlier than this, if they come. Haven't seen them on the feeders yet either, actually, which is a bit unusual. Edit: they are back on the feeders, as a pair (assuming same birds), so no excuses! View from office window:

I have everything crossed for you Matt, If it gives you a little hope, I have one BT on 9 eggs and 1 is still building her nest and that is in the same garden. The stage difference between them is unbelievable, So still hope yet.

Sorry it's not happening for you Matt still as others say there is some time left. Gorgeous clear picture. I've not used my video camera this season due to thinking you people won't want to suffer my voice again! Keep well and safe.

Yeah bit of a weird one. It definitely seemed as if they were looking, but perhaps they found somewhere else? Too many bloomin' neighbours with nest boxes!

Yes I agree, They was 100% looking! Which must mean they didn't have a nest box or place in mind, You never know though give it another week see what happens. I'd love you to get a late nest, I really want to see your cameras in action threw all the stages!
