Matt, I can't comment on this because where I put mine as nothing like that around so all my pictures / videos have been of the hogs or of the cat we feed from down the road.
I know Karen as her's more out into the garden near bushes and things so she will be best to answer this question.
Any luck in your garden yet?

Nothing yet Paul, although the cat made a cheeky appearance at the entrance again last night. I am just about to put the box outside the front of the house, alongside a native hedge. No idea if the area is frequented by hogs, but at least there are no fences in the way! We are quite rural (or "semi rural") so I don't see why we wouldn't get them. I must admit I've never seen one, or evidence of one, in the garden but I did have one run across the road in front of me whilst jogging once, not too far from the house. Don't see too many squashed ones either, actually.

More great pics, everyone! Quick question for those with the trail cams. Do you get many false movement positives? I've found this something of an issue when using a motion sensor outside of a box - especially with plants/leaves in the background, and a bit of wind. Yes there is some false recordings I have found, any movement from a leaf or bush will set it off. So I try to set it up within a clear area as best as possible.

Ironic really after what I have just told Matt about false recordings from leaves, I have noticed Paul that a hog can come through the entrance and mooch around for a few minutes before the camera triggers! Also last night I had it set up right in front of the water bowl and entrance to the feeding station and despite a hog being at the water bowl whilst the camera was coming to the end of the 3 minute video length it didnt trigger again although the camera was only about a foot away! Think I need to set the video length longer be interesting to see what yours is like Paul.

Here's some footage from my trail camera lastnight Karen.
Thinking of getting another trail camera and having it set up around the other side where I keep my spike semi moist and wet cat food to be honest as there is always a hog or 2 around that side while ones are feeding side where the trail camera was lastnight so be nice get footage of both at same time.

Im thinking the same, I could do with one in the front garden or watching the other hog house to try and see who is sleeping in it.

Paul just wondered do you change the hay in their beds every so often, Lola has flattened hers completely, wasnt sure whether to add some more? I have put the camera on the swivel thing and fixed to the fence just next to hog tunnel so will see what results that brings

I fully clean the "napper" boxes out once a week Karen, The nappers I've noticed wee and poo in the box sometimes nightmare! So I give the boxes used for napping a clean, The box that gets used for full sleep I don't touch it because I don't want to make her / him feel unsafe. I know hedgehogs keep their "nest" for sleeping / having babies clean however the nappers that is a different story haha reminds you of the birds when they roost

Can't believe how fast this little hoglet is growing, Looks like its put so much weight on since its been feeding her everynight aswell. It sleeps in the hog house on and off some times it will sleep init two days at time all day then miss a night sleeping over then come back, Here's a little picture off the trail came earlier some hay on his back as usual. So happy with how quickly its bulking up and growing, Might be able to hibernate by itself with abit of luck if it keeps gaining at this rate!

I have not had any visits for 3 nights now. It has been extremely wet, but I guess that shouldn’t put them off. I hadn’t put any cat food out on those nights....maybe a factor, but I don’t think they ate any when I did. Anyway I have put some out for tonight Well chuffed you have 2 hogs Natalie

They keep us guessing dont they? I was having 2 hogs visit every night, Lola would nap in the hog house on occasion, one night last week she was in it on and off from 10pm till 5am, but the past two nights only had one brief visit and lastnight none so I guess they may just check out other gardens as I am sure there are other people feeding them. Im only going by what the camera tells me though and they dont catch every thing!

They don't really like the rain apparently Amanda, I've noticed we get less visits when its raining, So the rain could actually be playing a factor in that for you.

Its the first time watching their behaviour closely, so its probably the norm for them to check out other patches in their territory. Hopefully they will return to our patch soon.

Funny little animals aren't they? I still have 3 really regular ones (2 sleeping in boxes during daytime) but the other 4 just turn up now and again, I can tell them all by size. Another thing have noticed with my ones is they have totally stopped eating the cat food (wet tinned) and the spike semi moist, Bare in mind the I was going through a 1.3kg bag semi moist in just over a week! So I have 2 big bags left unopened and half bag good job as 2021 date on I am sure future hogs will tuck in The only thing my hogs eat now is the "purina one sensitive turkey and rice" cat biscuits! so them bowls get topped up 2 or 3 times a night at the moment. I think I need to look for a list of do's and don't food and start giving them other things to eat, I guess its like us if you kept eating same thing daily you'd get bored.

You should pick yourself a bag of the purina one sensitives up Karen, All are hogs have always ate this cat biscuit, Tried them on other cat biscuits but they empty the bowls of these ones every night. Can get them in all supermarkets, I am just currently researching what none cat items they can eat and going to try a few this week so what is a hit or miss
