Yes they have been back every night since, they must remember where the food is and come back for more. I am trying to tell them apart, there seems to be around 4 different ones for sure, they havnt used the hog houses yet though. I got some great footage lastnight of one bigger one had butting a smaller one, also one tucking into a slug, which took quite a while to chew! Amazing creatures and so cute. I love the one yawning, I hope a hog moves into one of the houses.

That is how our one started Karen, Small visits inside the box. Then having little 30 minute naps through the night then full overnight stay. I think they must test it out to see if its safe etc, I love watching ours as you said they're fascinating to watch.

I am glad he is using the feeding station for you Karen, Fingers crossed for your hog house, Do you have a camera inside the house? Here's the neighbour boxes, This as stopped the fighting between two of them. There under my one of my front windows, Which is the most quiet part of the front garden under shelter from the big porch over hang that goes right across the house and windows. Also can't see the boxes from outside the garden its pretty guarded area. These two have cameras in wiring fed up through a window. Box three is in the entry that leads you from the front garden up to the back, We don't use the entry and its got some boxes in that didn't fit in the shed in the back basically. I decided to put third box inside the entry not only cause its great protection from rain but also its not used and its locked behind a gate (holes in the gate large enough for hedgehog to pass through) this box doesn't have a camera inside because the wiring would need long for it to reach a telly, So I left this with no camera in. I have seen an hedgehog going through the entry gate and into the hog house though so I knew it was in used, Each morning I take the lid off slowly and check and so far no overnight stays but plenty visits during night and little naps inside, However this morning when taking the lid off the box there was an hog fast asleep in the straw so its officially had its first overnight stay! I will no longer be taken the lid off this box because I don't use to disturb it, Having cameras in the other two boxes its easy to see if they have sleepers in during the day without removing lids. Now I know the 3rd box does I will not be disturbing it again, Thankfully it didn't wake up so its all good managed to get the picture above though before putting the lid back on. Sorry for the long update just realised I didn't post a picture of the "neighbour" boxes when I said i was going too! How long are we predicting before hedgehog 4 shows up and f**ks up the peaceful set up? I think its coming

Hog 4 I am sure wont be far away, better get ordering another box . No I dont have a camera in the box Paul, I only had one spare so used it to view their comings and goings, which I cant wait to check each morning if it gets a tenant then I will for sure put one in. We have identified 4 different individuals now that visit, 2 large adult ones and two juveniles, we also treated them to some hog food nibbles which they enjoy. Look forward to seeing your updates!

Wonderful what a cute hoglett. I had a new one visit last night and it was a small one, then while it was taking a drink a big one came in and shoved it out of the way, it was three times the size of the little one.

Maybe it was an hoglet Karen? Our little hoglet looked bigger on the camera, However it was tiny. I don't know if they new hedgehog that showed up lastnight after 9pm as brought a baby, I am excited about it though. Hedgehog house 4 is now ordered to arrive next week this one is a much larger box got the perfect place for it. I'll have more hedgehog houses than nest boxes by end of the year but they're very successful in the garden and its helping out the hogs so I am more than happy to pay few ££.

Good heavens Paul - hedgehog No: 5!!! The rate they're all descending on you, your garden won't be big enough in a few weeks! I'm so pleased for you though & as jealous as hell, & thanks for the cute piccies.
Posted this message Paul & then your latest post was there - Box No: 4 ordered now & a mansion from the sound of it!

These creatures need all the help they can get. Their numbers have declined so much, so its wonderful to see them thriving in our gardens with a little help from us. I have found a useful website called Hedgehog Street with loads of help and advice on it if your interested Paul.

Be careful Karen as you may end up like Paul with his hedgehogs! Anyway, I'm pleased you're getting more visits too, but it's a shame that the little one was bullied.
