Well we drew a total blank today! Not a single bird that we could see anywhere in the garden for the full hour.. I must admit we don't get a huge amount anyway (we're working on it but it will take a while), but we do at least normally have sparrows, pigeons, blackbirds, robins and a few others come to the feeders. Maybe its the wind? I suppose we should report it anyway..

Might be the weather Matt, We get alot of birds coming to our feeders daily but we haven't had many today either, Wind is bad though its freezing so I can't blame them. I did mine yesterday thankfully when weather was nice.

Yeah. We tend to get more in the mornings, but we were out watching the boys play football so we didn't have a lot of choice for our "hour" of viewing, which we did this afternoon. There were the usual pigeons and blackbirds around this morning but amazing not to see anything at all while we were watching! All quiet on the nest boxes as well since the flurry of activity earlier this week. Can't wait for spring to kick in! (I know - its still only mid winter really )

So glad I did mine on Saturday as today the weather has been awful, barely any birds just the odd BT and Blackbird.

A dead loss here too, as I only saw two wood pigeons braving the wind to have a d***k then flying off!
Edited 29 January to insert the word (more or less) I typed out originally.

Funny thing is that this morning all the usual suspects were back; bluetits, blackbirds, robins, pigeons and collared doves and not only that, a buzzard came and perched on our shed roof for about a minute, which is a first for me! Maybe I should switch to today, which is one of the three days apparently.

Always the way Matt! Yesterday was a better day though, Did you end up using that as your results or have you already sent them in online?

I decided it would be better to log the actual hour we did, since this is a scientific exercise. To be honest, I didn't realise until yesterday that you could even do it on Monday, but it wouldn't have been so good without the kids around. Never mind!
