The above videos are taken at my sons. He told me he had cheeky robins but I had yet to see for myself. Had to have a go and try, and achieve for myself Happy happy happy. Sue

Lovely videos Sue, I hope you don't mind but you made two different threads so I have moved your son's video into this thread aswell so they are all together. Bet you are well pleased being able to do this, Really jealous! How long did it take to get the robin that tame?

Thanks Paul, still not very good at this . Apparently my son has a pair of blackbirds coming right up to his door and a pair of robins. He feeds them twice a day on his patio and the female blackbird has been calling at his door for the last couple of weeks and when he opens it she flies back to the edge of the patio and waits for him to put food out. The robin has been watching but not been as brave. It has been feeding from just in front of him for a couple of days. I suggested live mealworms to tempt them closer and this morning with him and I it was the first hand feeds - so glad I was there and able to join the excitement. We later tried suet pellets (which is their normal feed) but after a taste of the real thing the robin flew on my sons hand , literally looked up at him and then backed off and stood looking at him as much as to say ‘where has the real food gone?’ . Err Sue - I don't mind admitting that I am 100% envious/downright jealous of you & your son! What fabulous video clips you've put on & I really am pleased that you managed to feed the robin yourself.

It was wonderful Ann. Think it’s also down to how brave the robin is, or how hungry. This one is very cheeky and lands on the windowsill of the kitchen asking for food. The female sits back and watches, but will only come within a few feet so don’t think she is so brave. Sue

Oh Wow this is fantastic Sue Robins are one of the most daring little birds, I have them in my garden and they literally sit on fence behind me whilst I put feed out, soon as I start to walk away, they jump in, many a time they have just missed my head I love these birds, however my mum never liked them, she would say they were ‘bad luck’! I don’t know how she came to this conclusion, but something coincidently must have happened in her past to associate the two! Does this mean your moving into your sons’ house now!? I can’t wait for your lovely pictures to start coming Lovely video Sue

Don’t think i’d better go to his too often Elle, he has just found himself a new lady friend (after a traumatic break up with his ex) and she may think his mum is totally weird - she’d be right of course . Bit annoying though as now i’d love to visit more often - so inconsiderate these people Sue

I had to laugh at your last postings Sue & Elle - we three obviously think alike. yahoo_clap Elle & I will certainly want updates on this lovely robin saga, so you'll have to grit your teeth & think of sneaky excuses to visit.
