Sorry about the delay in reply Pete, It was an IP camera set by Gardenature its the same as their Wifi version they have now which I do believe can be ran how I am running mine (wire to the internet router) This is the log box as of the morning, She is still very much in the playing about stage no real rush right now.  I have a wired Gardennature cam in my side-view box. I'm impressed with the quality. Kind of wish I'd put it in my main tree box this year, where the actual nesting is happening! Great news on your BT situation this season. Looking forward to seeing more! |

I think the female is definitely starting to keep the material in now this is the nest box today material wise its doubled which is strange as its been really windy and cold I am sure she will really crack down when the time is right! she is currently snug as a bug.   |

We are on the 4th floor Starling, not quite as high as you were but plenty high enough. Time will tell if they continue.

This is great! I used to live in a tower block 11 floors high and I once saw a blue tit enter a gap in the brick work near my kitchen window, what it was doing I don't know but it was quite a surprise!

 J Thank you Paul and Sammi. As you can see balcony is fairly long but quite narrow. The action is taking place right outside our window so , YES Paul, hubby is definitely banned from here for the foreseeable future . As we all know things can and do go wrong so trying to be realistic. Everyone told me we were far too high up for birds to use a box here. As you say Sammi, always worth a try. Sue

 I know it’s very dark, but it was a dull day and I had to record with a phone from pc. Terrified that things will now go wrong but felt I wanted to let you all know what was happening. This is box on my balcony that I never thought would ever attract birds. Too early to get excited but am loving the signs. I do have a light in the box but not sure if I feel right using it just to get better pictures for me. Wish me luck. Sue

I have some footage of the starling this morning adding more bits to the nest and shaping it, I apologise about the dismal quality of the camera it has no lighting and now has a blurred bit on the lens! I must get a new one in there next year, I find cranking the brightness on the monitor up to max tends to help a little |
