Quick update from North Yorkshire. I am getting lots of visits from one pair which have increased massively this week with the weather coming milder, lots of fussing and tapping and nest wriggles, will update if things go further   goodluck to all this season. |

Hello Paul that is very kind of you thank you but I have ordered one for this box now, it is a wired one but with a usb connection to my laptop going through the bathroom window as I have no other way to connect, the one I have coming also has IR so I can view the birds when it gets dark too and not just when it is sunny out!

Are your cameras wired version Starling? I have a few spare cameras knocking about after switching to IP cameras.
Happy to send you one instead of you paying out for one I am not using them no more so 1 might aswell go to a good home.

The nest is coming along nicely, both male and female are building although as with the bluetits the male gives way when the female appears or she shouts at him to get out   |

Sue, Just a little video have come across that you might be interested in.. Someones got a camera inside the 3 hole box that was a success in your old house I am not going to lie, I am tempted to try this now next year replace my "tree" box .. watch this space  Oh wow Paul, thank you for that. ❤️ Amazing. The birds loved that box hence why I had one similarly made in wood. I still have the concrete one but nowhere to mount it here - it is so heavy it needs bolting right through a wall. Unsure what the screws are on the base in the video unless because of the weight someone has mounted it on a platform of some sort. Also be interested to see how/where they’ve managed to secure the camera as there was not much headroom above the entrance holes. Some company should take note and get something into production. Oh dear - it seems there's an inquisitive Great Tit on the prowl, having a sneaky peek at the BT nest-in-progress  So far hasn't seemed to deter the BT nest building though, so fingers crossed all will be well without any confrontation... |
