Thanks guys - haven't had a chance to see if the second egg is still in the cup - been having trouble with a pesky starling that has been investigating the box, landing on the hole several times and poking its beak in causing Meg to spread herself out over the cup and give a few hisses and bigging up.
I have scared the starling off a couple of times by moving the curtain in the bedroom window, but they do seem to be persistent - hope it soon gets the message. Anyway Meg seems a bit loath to leave the nest or even show me the cup at the moment - she's sitting very tight!
