Yeah, don't want to get my hopes up, but hard to at least a little after this upturn in interest. Now I am thinking that I need to swap the camera in this box. Quality is OK, but I have higher res cameras in two of my other boxes which also have microphones, so should I risk a midnight swap? Might make the inside of the ceiling look a little different though, so wonder if that would affect things? Or probably I should just be happy there is a bit of interest and leave well alone!
Pete, I have only had a nest one year (out of 3, including this one), and it was like you describe. A few visits, nothing for a while, then she came back, did one wiggle and was building 5 minutes later. In fact, that year, I never got anything like as many wiggles as I have already had this year. If she is thinking of nesting, she is really taking her time! I wonder if she has another candidate box on the go as well? If so, it isn't any of the other 4 in my garden.
