The bird that has been attempting to build a nest is...... a Great Tit!!
I'm thrilled to bits, I absolutely LOVE Great Tits.... the nest has come on already this morning.
But unfortunately, I don't hold out any hope that this bird will stay, due to the frustratingly, annoying matter of Spooky the cat.
It is quite unbelievable really, already this morning, I have seen her inexplicably try to scale up the Laylandii hedge, which is growing right beside the box - she has NEVER done this before today....and then, she sat for a long period of time under the box. Never did that before either. WTF?
Honestly, this cat has been sent by some higher being to test and vex every last nerve I have. I'm really trying to be patient here for benefit of the rest of the household who love her being here. But I'm ashamed to say, I wished her gone this morning.
She has been here for weeks now and why is she suddenly doing this? The VERY thing that will once again jeopardise any chance I have this year. Beggars belief.
