No metal plate next door Paul, in fact its old as the hills and quite knackerd in my opinion!But the Birds are still visiting it today, it faces East, it is in exactly the same position as my nest in 2018 only difference is that it is 5ft away further along the fence. My nest didnt have a metal plate but did have a peg which I have learnt isnt good to have so all mine only have metal plates.
