Hi all...beautiful hot sunny day here, lots of bird activity in the garden and mating calls across the trees...
But no sign of my builder....I'm worried something is wrong.
Yesterday at about 4pm she was working away in the box and a loud noise happened under her box startling her and she flew out ....she has not been back since which is unlike her as she normal works until dusk.
On saying that, there was a rooster in the box last night - I assumed it was her, but as she has not been back to today perhaps that rooster is just another female bird...?
I would have thought there would be loads of activity in the box today. But dead to the world??
Edited: 1 hour later!!! Panic over - she just arrived in...very relieved.
I really thought she wasn't going to come back - overall though, really, really quiet day for birdboxes. Thought the sun would bring out so much activity.
