We have had a female Blackbird as an almost full time resident in our back garden. She has decided to nest in our Ivy again. This has happened 5 times before with only one brood surviving the predation by Magpies. Unfortunately it looks like the nest position is in the Ivy over the back of the fence so I cannot easily locate it. Otherwise I could have easily relocated either my Coal Tit or Open fronted box cameras which are close by. Fingers crossed her latest clutch of eggs do not go the same way . We have not seen much of the local magpies this year, it could be they are a different pairs nesting at the end of our street.
