I use these cameras: Bird box camera POE IP You can get them on SpycameraCCTV too
There is a more expensive camera that has a POE switch and cabling.
I use UTP Ethernet cable UTP cable
RJ45 plugs & crimping tool
If all your wires come in to one place, and you have more than 1 camera, get a POE switch POE Switch or you can use an NVR with the powered ports at the back
I have just added bit by bit as I have build more boxes or hedgehog houses. I must admit, I am at full capacity, I don’t need any more bird boxes or hedgehog houses
The good thing about POE IP cameras is that you don’t need to have power near to the camera. The Ethernet cable powers the camera. There is a little power port on the bird box cameras that you plug the LED light in to, so it’s one cable, which is great.
You can run a real good length of cable 100 metres (328 feet)
