Re the running! Keep it up as long as you can!!!
Funny I was the runner in our family then I had a cruciate ligament reconstruction in 2000 so my running stopped then apart from a couple of years in 2009 and again for 3 years starting 2013. In 2003 my wife decided to run the GMR for the MS society after her brother and sister were diagnosed with the disease a year or so before. Her sister died a few days before the race so she was featured on the BBC coverage.
From that she was invited back every year by the organisers to start with the celebs and even won the GNR inaugural bravery award:
Now my daughter and wife run for miles whilst I look on in envy!
I've missed it this last 5 years and there is nothing like running through woods, fields or moorland at 6am on a beautiful spring morning or through 6 inches of fresh snow or over wind strewn and rain lashed moors!!!! Freeeedom!!!!!
