I did do it Amanda and it worked quite well, although occasionally it would crash and I would have to restart it. I was doing it from a raspberry pi, though, so I don't know if my experience will be of much help to you. What is your setup? There is a lot of info about this out on the web, so I'm sure we can set you up somehow! Are you getting visits at the moment?
Having the live stream up was a lot of fun at the time, because other people on the forum were watching as well and posting about it - I think I first got alerted to the first egg hatching by a forum post!
