N Essex nests

Hi Michelle, could the material be old from a previous year and you’ve had a messy male rooster over winter leaving all his mess about, or do you know this is a new nest?  Only asking because I still have a messy rooster and though I had a couple start to bring in material the rooster still continues to come every night and I am worried he is putting off my possible tenants for this year.  Hope yours gets sorted and you at least get one nest.
