My earliest was the 16th March and latest April 27th. However, this is the earliest (Jan) I have seen a BT want the box so much. As Paul says depends much on the weather and what is happening in their environment. My female has been bashing hell out of the box with her beak also on the nest hole which is a first for me I think? Nest wriggles and straw has been coming in but going out again as expected!!!
All the best to you wonder if Chico will turn up again with a new fella; would you recognise her if she did?
