Make sure he doesn't milk it to much though get him up on that ladder when he can
I am the same, I give my rooster boxes a clean every month or two.
Going to give them the last clean out at the beginning of March I think see how the weather is and activity might leave it till mid march if not good try and leave it as close to nest building as possible.
