Love this post, we have had hedgehogs visiting for quite a few years now. Still not managed to entice them into the hog house though. I had put food in there, but apparently they don't like their food in their homes?
We did have three this year, but I've only seen one lately. I call him patch because he has quite a few patches over his back. Like you their favourite food is Spike semi moist. They are very fussy, the petshop ran out recently, so I got a bag of the dry food. They simply turn their noses up at it, the magpie ends up with it in the morning.
They are now back on semi moist and guzzle the lot within 10 minutes.
