Its middle of summer, They don't use boxes to roost during summer its mid 20's outside warm and lots of places to roost.
I haven't had no rooster myself in weeks now, Only came back when we had the bad rain weather really.
If he is knocking about come Autumn I am sure he will be back September/October when the leaves are falling off the trees etc.
