How tragic
are the chicks dead or they still alive where you can pop them back into the box?
I think this is probably her last brood Ann, I know Wrens start breeding in April and only have two broods, So I think maybe this could be jenny 2nd brood with being late on?
I think they also use different nests for different broods with the male making up to 7 / 8 nests at a time.
