Fabulous photo of the heron, I must have missed your posting before now Joe & as you say, it's big! We don't get them, but we did get a couple of ducks a few years ago - I think they got lost whilst on their way to the big lake in the park near us!
Mind you, our pond is very small but luckily we brought frog spawn from our previous home (when it was still allowed) so we do have lovely "froggie-doggies" every year (as my grandaughter used to call them.)
