Do you know Paul if a flock not related to the Sparrow will accept it as their own, I can only find Youtube videos on people who have done a rescue but no follow up after release. I know from my 2016 rescue BT's that the hospital have avairies pre- release where they put all one species together to learn and bond and then they let them go free. They always have feeders for them to come back to if necessary. It would be easy to identify little Spuggie if he comes back as you put the ring on. Hope all goes well I have my fingers crossed for him/her.
