Well my last 3 chicks finally fledged this morning before 8am, even my smallest . Yesterday Poppy’s sole job was feeding them, and by god did she feed them, by this morning you would never have believed I had any smaller ones, they was all evenly grown (overnight) . Strange they fledged exactly as they’d hatched (staggered). Zorro did the feeding of the 3 previous fledglings, he never came anywhere near the box after the first ones went on Monday!!, I did see him in the trees and then coming to get the mealworms then flying back to them. He has been fantastic all the time, but then again he was brilliant last year when he had 10. After the last 3 went this morning the full family, including Poppy and Zorro, flew off all together I did shed a tear, it was so lovely so that’s me done for another year icon_biggrin Roll on next year (hopefully) I will be bobbing in & out to keep an eye on all the nests which remain!! Best of luck to all Elle xx
