Just popped my head in to say thank you for your comments.
Paul I see your little Sparrow is ready for the off, hope he will be able to fend for himself and that his instincts and awareness of predators is in-built.
Beechnut- Can hear them but not see them, parents are fetching live food and going somewhere. I have seen two GT's and a Coal Tit in the garden which is weird as they have been invisible all season!
Sue, Diane & Sammi -Yes, I only saw the 1st one go before we left for the Derbyshire Dales but thank goodness for my recorder and a great friend and neighbour who kept them fed and watched on the monitor for me. She texted me with an update every few hours!!!
