As predicted 3 of my chicks have fledged today they of course were the biggest, the other 3 are snuggled up together tonight! I know another 1 will go tomorrow, but whether the other 2 does is another matter! 2 are still quite small, I’m feeling a bit protective of them cos Poppy has been trying all afternoon to get this last 3 out, but I keep shouting at tv that ‘they’re too small to go yet’! Managed to get a pic of fledgling no.2, only because it actually fell asleep perched in the hole for 45 mins before it eventually woke up and made the leap Poppy couldn’t even get passed it to come in to feed the others! Most bizarre Weather has been terrible today, all 4 seasons in one, so I’ve got my fingers crossed for the little ones already out tonight P.s Thanks for that info Paul, will certainly give it a go when the seasons over, although today it was clear again!
