No not throwing the mealies away. I seem to have quite a lot left. I’m refreshing the feeder twice a day and throwing the old ones onto the lawn for the blackbirds.
One parent has been back a couple of times during the day and taken a worm each time. Flies somewhere over towards the front so I suppose they are in a tree somewhere.
I’m glad I got three out of the nine eggs. Wouldn’t have had those if I hadn’t put the three chicks back she pushed out of the nest.
What a year. 😩
