SueP an optimistic 2019

Thanks Helen, good thoughts but they never touched any of the live food I supplied, mores the pity.  As for fledging, I would have had to have been way way out in my estimations for that to have been the case - would have been lovely if I could have hung on to that, but unfortunately no.  Like your optimism though.
So sorry you’ve also lost one, seems to be a lot of it on the forum this year.  Good luck with the rest of the chicks.
