Not feeling happy as when hubby called me down this morning our cat was playing with a chick. managed to get the chick back into the box. don't know if it was the same one but turned around and cat after a chick, it happened a third time so got the cat indoors. Spent time checking outdoor cam to see what had been happening. Parent was still going back to box. It was feeding a chick that was looking out of box. when i turned my back but looked at vid after, it flew out again. Straight to the ground. Certainly not strong enough. So not sure if it was the same one. Used the spy camera and saw it on its own in the box, flies in abundance. This last time it came out went between two sheds where i cannot get it so now its on its own. Can see parent on bush feeding but don't know if it can hear chick. It just checked box then flew away. I did see a chick fly over to next doors garden so i don' know how that one fared. We will have to eventually clean out box. Parent is still coming back and looking in. Weather getting cloudy so will have to go in soon Back tomorrow after work and will catch up on all the fledging.
