Reading another thread, we are lucky. We have many, many blackbirds visiting and nesting in our garden, every year. During one count a few weeks ago we counted 23 blackbirds just in the back in one go. They do love suet which I feed throughout the winter and they just hang around every morning waiting for me to fill up the feeder. I cease when it is baby season but they still look through the windows looking annoyed.
My husband accidently found a nest in our front garden laurels yesterday so I waited until mum had popped off for refreshment, squeezed my small camera through the twigs and leaves and snapped this pic.. will be keeping an eye on the nest hoping to catch any youngsters.
