Glad you weren’t too badly hurt and here’s hoping the bum is on the mend.
I wasn’t going to mention it because I thought people on the forum would be cross that I’d interfered but we had three chicks out and I did same as you .
I could see why they rolled out easily as the nest slopes to the front. After I’d. Put them in I got some hay and stuffed it under the front of the nest near the front wall.
Seems to have worked ok. As you say I couldnt bare to see them die.
