Yes , I’m steeling myself to look now.
This morning another two eggs out , that’s three outside nest. We’ve been out till an hour ago and when I looked still three eggs out and still only one chick hatched.
I would have thought more would have hatched by now unless some that have been in and out of the nest have been delayed.
Is that possible or would they have become too cold.
I know two at least were out overnight..
can the female tell if they’re not going to hatch in some way. Do they tap the shell , I’ve heard some birds do that .
If she only has one chick it’s certainly going to be well fed.
