Yes Sue, quite surprised to see a chick today.
Obviously at least one hasn’t spoiled. Her nest is very shallow .the chick is sitting on top of the eggs and I’m afraid it might get knocked off.
You’re right , this is a nightmare. I almost feel like not looking for at least a week. I’d then know if any were likely to survive. I’m turning into a cowardy custard.
Last year when we had to rush the eight orphans to the rescue centre I vowed I’d take the box down but then I thought I couldn’t have three bad years in a row and relented.
This will definitely be the last year . I’ll still have boxes but no camera.
