Hey Kevin - having another look at your garden photos, I noticed something that I missed before! You have a dog! 
What's it called? We used to have dogs, all black labradors, now too old to get another as we can't give it the exercise it should have anymore, so we have a grand-dog now called Dudley - a labradoodle - so halfway there at least!
