Thanks all. I could not resist going on Tuesday as the weather on that morning was beautiful. So I set off at 6am but unfortunately I did not hear Larry. Perhaps he is waiting for some females to arrive before he starts to call. There were many other moorland birds, finches and waterfowl to listen to though and a caught a beautiful 4 lb rainbow trout that put up a great fight before I could bring it to the boat. I returned it to the water and watched it swim away. I don't like the earthy taste of trout!!!
