No more eggs out as far as I can see this morning.The second one she kicked out I can’t see any more. I can’t imagine she’s somehow got it, back in the nest cup. I haven’t caught her off the nest lately so I’m not sure how many eggs are there.I suspect the second one is lost in the feathers, The first one I can still see ,right down in the front corner.
I watched her this morning turning the eggs and they come really near the edges , the cup is obviously too shallow caused I think by too many feathers and what I think is cat fur .we have two silver Maine Coons two doors down and I think they’re groomed in the garden. She obviously thought ideal bedding but it’s too soft and has just compressed too much.
Oh well I suppose she’ll have less chicks to feed.
