Sad news for this nest aswell everyone Noticed before mum and dad flying in and out the bush looking very worried, So I went and had a look and feathers was everywhere. When climbing up to the nest two bodies was left their, Well I say bodies they was plucked and pretty much bone fully ate. I am guessing the sparrowhawk found them this morning and they both made an easy meal, They had all the adult feathers and everything. I know the hawks need to eat aswell and this is nature but it hasn't half p*ssed me off, Only my woodpigeon nest going strong now, That is deep inside one of the big conifer trees. Blackbird and goldfinch nest both raided by magpie now this by hawk, Isn't it a good job our blue tits sparrows great tits nest in boxes? I'd hate to see how many of us had tragic outcomes if they didn't.
