That is only a good sign I suppose Beechnut, Shows good amount of food is it in the area for them, I think this gorgeous weather helps aswell with finding food. That's what I keep telling myself Paul..... and Sue this is the first year for some time that I've got to the end of the first week and they have not taken any mealworms from the box feeders or Scotties. In the past often one of the parent birds would feed almost 100% from the feeder on the fence (see in latest photos) once the chicks could handle 'the big stuff', while the other mixed mealies with more natural delicacies like spiders, caterpillars, moths etc. It was usually the female that took the easy route across the lawn to the feeder.
