Don't understand what is going wrong for you Beechnut,
Maybe its a problem with Youtube itself and the format you are using? Have you tried to see if the video actually plays outside of this site?
Just and view it on youtube alone and see if it plays etc? Have you checked the settings to make sure you are setting it to public and not private?
Some of my youtube videos are large in size and I haven't had this problem with the new forum so don't believe its a size problem.
