Yes Elle,
She lays on bare wood every year, She also doing exactly what did she last year.
Laying an egg every 3 / 4 days, Only 2 eggs at moment and not incubating.
I am expecting 3rd egg tomorrow, Really weird how for the past 2 years shes had such big gaps between eggs.
I'll have to ask RSPB / BTO is this common, Because this is the second year running its happened.
Here's a little video update on the male this morning covering the two eggs, They have alot material under them now no longer bare wood. However she does lay the first egg every year on bare wood.
